I have been able to fix the issue now and touch wood, I have not had a reappearance as of yet although I am considering the reinstallation of both Network adapter drivers to be on the safe side. I say that because while using Ethernet and still getting Internet connectivity but with the Airplane mode System Tray icon displaying I was unable to toggle the settings in either Win 10 or via Fn + F2 - both were unresponsive. Wondering if this has something to do with a conflict between Settings -> Network and Internet -> WiFi and Airplane mode toggle settings in Win 10 and in my case Fn + F2 which is the key combination to actually turn Airplane mode on / off on the Alienware I directly connect to the router via Ethernet and also like to disable the combined WiFi and Bluetooth for security.

This afternoon I applied the same update to a retail Windows 10 Pro running on an Alienware 17R2 (full retail license as I wanted to go Pro instead of an upgrade from 8.1 Home) . If the issue persists, do get back to us.

Finder item icons are square, and are best created at 1024 by 1024 pixels in any software you use to edit or create art or images from scratch, and then crop or export to 1024 by 1024 pixels. You can make your own custom icons quite easily. In some cases, you may be prompted to enter your password (or an administrator’s account and password) to complete the change.
